Sliding Gate Upgrade. The Fix for this week is a 7metre cantilever sliding gate in Shrewsbury. The ageing gate’s running equipment was malfunctioning meaning on opening the gate would get stuck half way. Following a full safety risk analysis and force test carried out by a Security Solutions engineer the gate was found to be non compliant with the latest safety standards.
The client opted for a full gate upgrade, replacing the entire gate and motor including all safety edges, the run back area was fenced in and a post was also installed at the front edge of the gate to house additional safety edges.
