The Security Solutions SSSB Bison Blocker has been designed for use in applications where deep excavation is not possible and where there is a need to cover a wider site entry/exit.
Manufactured from heavy duty channels and RSJ beams forming most of the blocking element, the impact energy is evenly distributed and transferred through the top RSJs directly to the ground.
Shallow mounted with a total excavation of 450mm, raised angle is 30 degrees and raised height of the blocking element is 1030mm as standard, this gives a formidable defence against hostile vehicle attacks. The specially designed linkage arms system also ensures that the hydraulic drive remains protected during a crash situation.
Unlike many crash rated blockers present in the market, our shallow mounted road blocker has successfully been tested to a speed of 80kph. There was zero penetration of the N3 type vehicle (18 tonner weighing 7500kg) and our product was fully operational following the test to CPNI standard ref V7500[N3]/80/90:0.0/25.4.
Our crash rated shallow mounted blocker is available in different colours to suit site specification or a particular requirement. The list of our standard colours is available upon request.
