Fix for the Week – Automatic Barrier Repair

At Security Solutions the Service and Maintenance engineering team daily attend equipment which has sustained damage from vehicle impact, adverse weather conditions, human intervention and general wear and tear. Security Solutions Automatic Barrier Repair – Fix for the week will give you an insight into the inconveniences some of our client’s may face.

The Fix for this week is an Automatic Barrier Repair. Our client holds a BLUE Service and Maintenance Contract. The BLUE contract covers, Bi annual servicing (two visits per year) to conduct a full service and preventative maintenance inspection of the equipment covered, along with emergency callouts, up to 8-hour working response, 24/7, 365.   

The Client, a nationwide technology specialist, appointed Security Solutions as PPM and Emergency repair contractors for the automated perimeter security on this government owned highway infrastructure site. Following vehicle impact to the barrier equipment, an emergency repair callout was logged.

Automatic Barrier Repair

Security Solutions service engineer attended site and removed the damaged beam arm, replaced the damaged wiring and fitted a new beam arm, along with new LED lighting. As customer requirements, the existing barrier skirt was refitted and secured. All safety and operational checks completed and the barrier was left in working order.
