Brands Hatch is one of the UK’s most iconic sporting venues, host to some of motorsport’s most prestigious events. Holding championship races including the British Superbike Championship, British Touring Car Championship and BRDC British F3 are all held at the Kent circuit.
Racing has taken place at Brands Hatch since 1926, legends such as Stirling Moss, Barry Sheene, Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Jenson Button, Carl Fogarty and Lewis Hamilton are among those to have raced and won at Brands Hatch.
Keeping up with trends, Brands Hatch have welcomed American Speedfest, European NASCAR and motorsport festivals to the circuit. Race days are organised and run with precision planning to accommodate race fans arriving in cars, coaches and on bikes. Brands Hatch operates a number of entry and exit points controlled by automatic traffic barriers. Following the failure of one of the barriers during a peak time left the circuit in need of a barrier replacement.
Resulting in the disqualifying of the existing security supplier, Motor Sport Vision appointed the services of Security Solutions to replace the faulty barrier equipment.
The SSB8000 Eco Barrier was selected, driven by a hydraulic pump, the SSB8000 is smooth and quiet during operation and being 100% duty cycle rated was the perfect choice for continuous operation in a heavy traffic environment.
The Security Solutions team got off to a flying start on site installing the SSB8000 Eco Automatic Rising Arm Traffic Barrier, working flat out without a pit stop the system was operational and handed over to the client in record time.
