SSTS4000 Turnstile at RHS Hampton
Security Solutions donated a Full Height SSTS400 Turnstile to be used in a conceptual garden at this years Royal Horticultural Society Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. The imaginative design by Tom Massey and John Ward will be on display from the 5th to the 10th of July.
The Border Control Garden sponsored by UNHCR highlights the plight of refugees and the risks many take to find shelter.
A wildflower meadow sits within a treacherous moat, bordered by a razor wire fence and accessed through a turnstile controlled entry crossing. At the centre of the oasis a shelter provides protection, while outside, plants struggle to survive.
The Garden has been featured in the Guardian “As you come through the turnstile, the perception changes, you get a different feeling. You are in a safe environment but you look out at what you came through.” said designer John Ward.
