Sliding Gate. The Fix for this week is a 8.5metre cantilever sliding gate in Stoke on Trent which had extensive damage following an impact from a delivery truck. Our client held a Magenta service and maintenance contract and was able to utilise the priority 24 hour emergency call out to have an engineer on site within the four hour response time.
On assessment the gate frame had been destroyed leading to transmission and motor impairment along with the destruction of all safety equipment, photocells, safety edges and sounder beacon. The gate was beyond economical repair and required replacing.
