A turnstile system is the only choice for regulating and controlling foot flow through entrance and exit points without the need of manned monitoring. Turnstiles are ideal if you wish to secure a sites external perimeter or provide secure areas within a building against unauthorised pedestrians.
Which turnstile system is right for my site?
With many different systems on the market and depending on the level of security required, identifying the right system for your application can become puzzling. Follow our guide below to give an overview of our turnstile range and to which application the equipment is suited:
Full Height Turnstiles
Installing a full height turnstile into a perimeter security system is an effective method of creating staff checkpoints and zoning pedestrian traffic. Allowing you to create entry and exit points as desired. Full height turnstiles are suited to external use within industrial and commercial facilities and are also popular at amusements and sporting facilities incorporated into Stadia Pods. The turnstiles can be linked to fire alarms, record staff attendance, movements and are available with a wide range of control options.
A well designed indoor turnstile or speed gates system can control pedestrian traffic flow in public areas. Configuring the turnstiles to work with the space available and guide visitors and employees in the right direction, whilst protecting secured areas. Ideally suited to offices, universities, libraries and leisure facilities. Half height turnstiles can be controlled by a range of methods incorporating existing access control and monitoring staff and visitor movements.
Pass Gates / Pedestrian Gates
Turnstiles are not suitable for access by wheel chair users, incorporating a pass gate or pedestrian gate within your security system gains full conformity to the Discrimination Disability Act (DDA). DDA gates can be fully automatic and controlled by a varied range of access control methods. Pass gates are failsafe and can be programmed to open automatically in the result the fire alarm is activated.
Portable Turnstiles
Suited to the construction industry, a portable turnstile system contained in a cabin can be the perfect solution when a site access is evolving and relocated throughout a project. Comprising of a full height turnstile set in a bespoke cabin or container, entry and exit can by regulated and monitored by a range of control methods.
