Road Blockers are used where high perimeter security is required. The units are designed to restrict heavy duty commercial vehicles in secure areas and are ideal for the protection of financial establishments, embassies, bullion depots as well as lorry and distribution depots.

The SSRB Series of Road Blockers are widely recognised within the industry as the ideal solution for secure entrance access and can be incorporated as part of a secure perimeter system or easily retrofitted into an existing gate line.  The Road Blocker is smooth and quiet during operation and being 100% Duty Cycle Rated offers continuous operation for heavy traffic environments.

road blockerThe absorption bars draw most of the energy away from the main body of the blocker, helping to alleviate impact damage to the outer fabrication and concrete foundation. The front radius can be quickly and easily replaced following impact whilst the Road Blocker is in the up position.

Road Blockers are assembled and all electric’s are pre-wired and tested in house before delivery. All internal electrics are 24v DC for operator safety and increased reliability of the hydraulic solenoids. The raising and lowering times are 3 to 5 seconds.

The Blocker is also painted in black and yellow chevrons to allow easy identification (these colours can be changed subject to customer requirements).

Applications: Cash Handling Sites, Warehouses, Lorry Parks, Road & Rail freight depots, Harbour Authorities, Refineries, and General Industry.
