To Commemorate 100 years since the Armistice, Security Solutions, Area Sales Manager Luke Sanders completed a 15,000Ft charity skydive to raise funds for The Royals Marines Charity Community.
The Royal Marines Charity Community have a clear mission, to provide the best possible support throughout life for Royal Marines, their families, veterans and cadets. Luke explained “To commemorate 100 years since the armistice, myself and three good friends decided that we wanted to do something to raise money for the heroes that have served our country. As we looked further into the cause we decided to give the donations raised to soldiers that have been personally affected and injured by war. We decided to support The Royal Marines Charity, specifically the injured marines at HMS Devonport in Plymouth.”
On the 10th November, the day before Remembrance Day. Luke and his friends completed the skydive at Manchester’s Black Knight Parachute Centre.
“There were a few nerves on the day as a couple of the lads are scared of flying” Luke continued “we had perfect weather conditions for the dive, the dive itself was amazing, even more so as we were raising money for heroes that have served our country.”
The group raised a fantastic amount £2,559.00. If you would like to support Luke and The Royal Marines Charity Community, donations can be made using the “Black Knights Parachute Jump” just giving page.
