Security Solutions test the same Bollard used in the first vehicle crash test, but this time at an approach angle of 45 degrees

After successfully testing up to speeds of 48 km/h at 90 degrees with a 7.5 tonne truck, perimeter security specialists, Security Solutions have again tested the new Shallow Mounted Crash Rated Bollard to withstand impact at 48 km/h with a 7.5 tonne truck but at 45 degrees.

At this new approach angle the Bollard stopped the vehicle dead with zero penetration and zero dispersal passing to CPNI standard ref: V7500(N2)/48/45:0/0 Footage of the new tests can be viewed at :

Designer Brian Wilkinson confirmed:- "After the first test we were very impressed with the way the Bollard performed, both during and after the test.  There was minimal damage to the unit which pushed us into testing the same Bollard used in the 90 degree test, but this time at an approach angle of 45 degrees.  Again it has met our expectations and we look forward to testing at a higher speed in the New Year."
